how long is an erect penis
penis size can differ between boys and men
a boy’s penis will start enlarging at any age from early as 8 or 9 and for most boys it will start at 11 to 16 and it will stop at about age 18 to 21
during puberty, your penis might not be its final size yet and comparing it to the following averages or to other boy’s sizes will be misleading and sometimes discouraging for you if your penis seems smaller.
take note that these averages I’m referring to is for fully grown men after puberty. If might not be the same for you yet.
the average, about 68% of men has an erect penis size between 12.5 cm and 16.5 cm.
the average of a flaccid penis is between 2 cm and 10 cm, dependent of the room temperature (when its colder, your testicles and penis draws back into your body to keep warm)
other percentages:
about 14% of erect penises can be shorter than 10.5cm or longer than 16.5 cm.
about 3% of erect penises can be shorter than 7 cm or as long as 21 cm.
if you really need to measure your penis to know your size, then the correct way is to take a sturdy ruler and place it flat on top of your erect penis with the 0 of the ruler pressed against your pubic bone. Then take the reading on the ruler at the end of the penis head.
why do boys and men want to compare anyway… having a big or small penis does not make you a better man, nor a more successful husband, nor a better father or businessman. It does not even have an effect on how you will experience sexual intercourse with your wife in the future
it’s because of our sexualized culture and media (movies, magazines, books, pornography, explicit images, advertisements etc.) and the sexual stuff we talk, laugh and share about that will give us a wrong and harmful view of sexuality and manhood
being a man has to do with responsibility
responsible for you actions, ruling and managing your sexual drive and desires, maturing in character, identity, self image, emotions and the purity of your heart
if you cannot manage and grow in this, your penis size (large or small) is not the measure of manliness or masculinity
if your penis size is shorter or longer that the average, its not a sign of being abnormal or disabled. It’s not a proof of masculinity or being a better man that the rest. You might get teased or gossiped about and be humiliated about it. If that’s truth for you, I want to apologize to you as an representative of men and a father, because you have been devalued as a person on your outward appearance of you penis (how ridiculous for being judged about a small outward part of your body) and in any way it’s not a proper measure to judge any man.
as a teen or grown man, rather focus on the unseen part of manhood and masculinity than on outward appearance. your body will decease one day but the good legacy you leave behind will be the proof of your ability of being a mature Godly man.
Puberty is the years when our physical bodies develop from a child’s body into a fully grown man’s body. Physical, emotional and spiritual changes are relevant to this period in any man or woman’s life. It usually start at about age 11 and end at about ages 18. see also “what is puberty”
Erect penis: An erection is when your penis enlarges and gets hard when blood flows into it through arteries but the blood flow gets restricted by veins inside the penis so that the accumulation of blood increase the size and the length of the penis.
Flaccid penis is when the blood drains out and the penis shrink back to its normal size again. Some man’s penises does not drain all the blood and could look much bigger that other men’s penises when flaccid.
Pubic bone: The pubic bone is just beneath the skin when you feel with your hands below your naval and just above where your penis comes out of your body.
Masculinity is your ability to become a mature man in physical, emotional (character, making good choices, taking up responsibility, checking your actions and reactions, making good moral and mature decisions etc.) and spiritual strength. (knowing where you come from, who you are and where you are going not only in this lifetime on earth but also beyond)
